Benteng Pendem Cilacap

Fortress Pendem Cilacap Dutch Heritage, or in Dutch called "Kusbatterij Op De lantong Te Tjilatjap" are located 0.5 km to the south of Turtle Bay Tourism and is above the land area of 6.5 ha, on the Gulf Coast region Turtle Cilacap.

The fort was the headquarters of defense Pendem Dutch Indian army which was built in stages in 1861-1879, Building Fortress Pendem have configurations that are still solid, surrounded by a moat, has 60 rooms / barracks, scouts fort, arsenal, tunnels, prison space, meeting rooms, space ammunition, firing space and 13 places important to the defense which is surrounded by fences and ditches and buried in the earth as deep as 1-3 meters.
